ANDREI SHAROV
Welcome to
My Artistic Journey
Hello, art lovers! My name is Andrei Sharov, and I am thrilled to share my passion for painting and art with you
Art is not just a profession for me, it is a way of life. I have dedicated my life to it. It is what unites us all in shared experiences and emotions.
I have been described as a multidisciplinary artist, and that's true—I have successfully ventured into fashion, theater, film, and of course, painting. Yachting is another love of mine that reflects my appreciation for beauty, adventure, and the limitless horizons of creativity.

Throughout my career, I have had the honor of showcasing my work in some of the most renowned cities in the world—London, New York, Paris, Cologne, Monaco, Miami, and of course, Moscow. I have painted portraits of writer Richard Bach, Jack Nicholson, Vincent Cassel, and Sharon Stone, which are now part of their private collections. I also created a portrait of Grace Kelly, which was presented to Prince Albert of Monaco.

Over the years, I have traveled the globe and participated in major prestigious art fairs such as Art Hamptons in New York, SELECT | Contemporary Art Fair in Miami, Art Palm Beach in Miami, Art Paris Art Fair in France, Silicon Valley Contemporary in the USA, Art Monaco in Monte Carlo, and many others.

These experiences have allowed me to connect with fellow artists and art enthusiasts from around the world, making each encounter unforgettable. My works have also been successfully sold at auctions including Sotheby’s Contemporary Art Day in New York (2014), Phillips' Under the Influence in London (2014), and Christie’s Interiors in London (2011 and 2012)—these experiences truly culminate my journey as a painter.

I also participated in 3 major charity auctions with my oil paintings.

Two of them were events organized by Eva Longoria’s foundation:
- In 2012 in London
- In 2013 at the Cannes Festival

One of the sold pieces was a portrait of Leonardo DiCaprio.

In 2014, I took part in the amfAR New York Gala charity auction.
In 2005, the Renault F1 Team invited me to design a race car for Formula 1 World Champion Fernando Alonso. This was a vivid episode in my career as a designer. The work was challenging and very interesting. Fernando raced the car, named "Turkish Comet," at the Grand Prix in Turkey, where it was recognized as the most beautiful car of the event.

As a full-fledged member of the Association of Haute Couture and Pret-a-Porter in Russia, I have won two prestigious theater awards: the "Seagull" (awarded at the Meyerhold Theatre) and "Texture." As an artist, I have designed over 60 dramatic productions and ballets. I have been painting for 35 years. I love creating large oil paintings, which have brought me much success, but I have a secret love— watercolor. I adore it.

For me, watercolor is a breath of fresh air, a quiet harbor where I escape from the tumultuous life of theater and other projects. I particularly love painting watercolor portraits. I find joy and satisfaction in creating them!

For several years, I have been recording master classes on watercolor portrait painting. I truly enjoy sharing what I know and love with a larger audience. Unfortunately, I did not have a prominent mentor in watercolor. I spent many years training, learning through trial and error, and often faced disappointments. There were times I put watercolor aside for years, but I always returned. I have come to realize that watercolor is a part of me forever.

If you share this love and passion for watercolor, specifically watercolor portraits, you are welcome!
